The Belchertown Fair & Parade Committee consists of nine dedicated volunteers who work throughout the year to ensure the success of the fair and parade. The committee relies on the support of volunteers to accomplish the many tasks and events which make the fair a successful, educational opportunity for all who attend. Volunteers are needed starting several weeks prior to the fair, the weekend before the fair to raise tents and through out the week and weekend of the fair for a variety of tasks including:
- Preparation / decoration of the fair grounds
- Exhibit Hall sitters, judges, workers and decorators
- Assistance on the parade route
- Staffing exhibits and booths
- Maintenance of the fair grounds
- Staffing and maintaining activities under the Kid’s Tent
- Dropping the tents and dismantling the fair grounds
The Fair & Parade Committee invites you to share your talents and ideas at the 150th Annual Fair & Parade. There are many opportunities for individuals of all ages and abilities. All volunteers are welcome and are guaranteed to have a great time while collaborating on this fantastic community event. All of the above mentioned tasks are the perfect Recipe for a Successful Fair.
