Thank you for your interest in our event. The Belchertown Fair was started 151 years ago as an agricultural gathering of the community. We have continued that tradition. We offer a variety of agricultural, educational and fun activities. Our goal is family participation in a safe environment at a reasonable cost. We want it to be fun for vendors as well as fair goers. Please take the time to read the vendor letter carefully to be sure that organization will be a good fit with our event. We strive to have fair be fun and profitable for everyone while being safe. |
2008 DECORATED BOOTH CONTEST
“There's Magic at the Fair”
The decorated booth contest is designed to improve the appearance of the fair grounds and encourage fair goers to stay longer enjoying activities. Vendors have enthusiastically participated and reported an increased response at their booth. There are 2 categories: Adult & Youth. Booths are judged between Friday and Saturday afternoon. Winners in each group receive a $50 return on the cost of their space and a distinctive ribbon commemorating the Whitlock Award in whose honor it is given. Winners are notified mid Saturday afternoon. The theme this year is “There's Magic at the Fair”. As always the theme is up to your interpretation. It means something different to everyone. How creative can you be as you decorate your booth? What images come to mind with this theme? The Fair has had its ups and downs but has continued because its roots are firmly planted in the community. It is time to celebrate where it has come from and where it’s going. We need to embrace and enjoy the unique nature of this activity that Belchertown is so proud of. Turn your thoughts into a creative decorating scheme and who knows, it may win you part of the cost of your space back. It’s fun and creates a lot of interest in your message. Use your imagination. Have a little fun. Anything goes. |
